Tombola Bingo Thriving With New Rollercoaster Game

November 26, 2008

Until August, Tombola Bingo’s major impact n the online gaming scene came through their role in the Sun and News of the World’s bingo sites.  Then Tombola took themselves out of the clutches of the two newspaper giants to run their own game, and since then they’ve been making busy by trying to build themselves a customer base of their own.  With one new promotion after the other they’ve been pulling in (and keeping) the players, and a series of online games have enabled them to thrive in what is a truly crowded market.

The latest addition to the phalanx of games on Tombola’s site is a spectacular – and seemingly unique – effort by the name of Roller-Coaster Bingo.  Roller-Coaster provides an interesting spin on the old Bingo rules.  It’s a 40-ball game set, as the name suggests, on a roller-coaster.  The player’s part in the game is to choose one of eight “carriages”, each with five seats in it.  Each ball is given a name and catchphrase, and represents a “passenger”.  Every time the roller-coaster sets off on a circuit of the tracks, one passenger falls out yelling their catchphrase.

While this may put the online gaming community off roller-coasters for life – I am personally not too keen to travel on a fairground ride that drops me head first from a height that I can only imagine – the 25p-a-play Roller-Coaster ride carries significant bonuses.  If you manage to “fill” your carriage on the first five drops, you will win £5,000!  If it takes another drop, you win a still quite reasonable total of £500.  Failing either of these eventualities, you will still win a significant wedge of cash should you fill your carriage – at least £50.  How does that sound to you?  I’d go for “hair-raising”.
