Online Bingo Raises Money for Charity

November 19, 2008

The Sun Bingo is traditionally adopting the Christmas spirit for the rest of November and December by offering a new celebrity caller; this will make the game really fun and memorable.  Winning money from numbers called by some of the classic favourites such as Russell Grant and Paul Daniels.  I’d love to take money off those two!

Bingo has been busy raising money not only for happy and lucky players, but also some really worthwhile charities too.  For years Sharon Moore from Fakenham has been raising money through Bingo for her cousin who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.  Sharon has raised more than £1,000 in just six months, much of which has been through running Bingo events, so look out for her name.  There are plenty of other Bingo sites that are also donating proceeds and profits to charities, particularly Children in Need.

Wink Bingo, one of the most popular UK online sites has fully adopted Children in Need as their charity of choice and are encouraging players to donate online through the deposit system.  Wink Bingo has promised to match some jackpot wins by donating the same amount to the charity up to an amazing £5,000.  Good on them!

William Hill Bingo made Simon from Hampshire a millionaire earlier this year with a £1.5 million win on Clover Rollover, a suite side game jackpot.  This may be the biggest single payout of its kind in the UK ever.  Simon said that he was still shocked by the win, but he was in no doubt that it would change his life.  Whilst a very sincere William Hill spokesman said that the firm was glad they had been able to ensure at least one person doesn’t have to worry about buying Christmas presents and the credit crunch during the upcoming festive season.
